Our Purpose
We chose this topic to help spread the information about the cleanliness of the water in Monroe. The natural water sources in Monroe were tested using water testing strips and were compared to the control of drinking water. These water sources were limited as to the lack of access to materials and transportation due to the recent pandemic.
The pandemic gave us more reason to see if the water sources, some of which were used as drinking spots, were clean. We tested the toxicity and the minerals that are found in each body of water. Our purpose is to provide tested evidence of the sources of water that can be dangerous for you and if drinking from them can be fatal.

I am in 9th grade in Monroe Township High School. I got inspired to do this activity after I saw 2 little kids playing in some water from the petting zoo pond, I wondered, how safe was that water? This made me really want to figure out how safe some sources in the local area are.
